Heating Installation in Hampton, GA

Hampton lots are bigger, line-sets are longer, and outdoor units sit in full sun. A heating install here has to account for that. We are about fifteen minutes northeast.

New heat for Hampton’s bigger lots

More land changes an install. Longer refrigerant lines, a condenser further from the house, nothing between the cabinet and the sky from eleven till four. Those are things to decide while you are choosing equipment, not after it is bolted to a pad that happens to be where the old one sat in 1999.

Where the unit sits is a real conversation out here, because on a lot this size you actually get a choice. Shaded side, clearance on all four sides, not under a bedroom window. Most in-town houses have no options. Yours probably does.

Dual-fuel shows up more often on these lots than in the subdivisions — heat pump for the mild days, furnace when it gets genuinely cold. It is a lovely idea and two systems plus one referee. We will set the balance point honestly, or tell you if a straight heat pump is the simpler, cheaper answer for how you actually live in the house.

When a new heating system is the honest call

  • The heat pump compressor is gone and the unit is well past ten years old
  • Emergency heat has been carrying the house and the bill shows it
  • The furnace heat exchanger is cracked or the cabinet is rusting through
  • It needs a major repair every winter
  • One floor never gets warm, no matter what the thermostat says

McGrath Mechanical is my go to choice for HVAC repairs and installation. As a property manager of properties all over the Atlanta area, I need a reliable HVAC source that will show up, diagnose the problem correctly, tell me the truth and make the repair at a reasonable cost. McGrath does exactly that! New system installations are efficient and affordable as well. I highly recommend James at McGrath Mechanical!

If he says he will be there then he will. James is fast, reliable, and gets the job done. I thought I needed a new unit but that wasn’t the problem. After about 30 minutes he had us up and running again. Any questions I had he was able to give me an answer. Highly recommend
